Guest Comic! The Creamiest of Dreams

First and foremost, I should thank Marvin yet again for presenting me with a comic that I can post today. I’m not going to lie – I’m pretty sure the imagery in this comic was the result of a Google+ post, but despite how much it feels like a bit of an “inside joke” – it’s still fucking hot. As it stands – even though I went out to draw on Sunday night and I thought that I’d be ahead of the game, I had a few things get in the way of me really being able to complete the work I needed to.

Apparently, not only have I not worked the kennel cough out of my system – but I think my happily lowered immune system ended up resulting in me getting… well… something ELSE wrong with me. Unlike the previous illness (which was akin to strep) this seems to just be a low grade fever. So, yay for body aches and sweats! My fever already started breaking on and off this evening – so hopefully it will be short lived… but really, my office is a freakin cesspool of illness. People are always coming into my office and hacking up a lung while they’re telling me all about their problems , and it drives me crazy.

It’s funny, because I started recording a video blog yesterday on my way to the coffee house, talking about how I really didn’t have anything formally laid out as far as what I was going to draw. Then, I get to the coffee house and within an hour, I know what I want to draw – but the idiots sitting next to me are completely and utterly distracting.

Any time a guy thinks he’s going to get into a woman’s pants by talking about how pointless life and existence in general are – it just drives me crazy. Seriously? He gave this speech about how “the world is going to be destroyed in 6 million years or less, so what the point of even trying. You’ll never make a name for yourself. It’ll never last. All we are is a blip on the radar and then nothing. It’s all meaningless.”

God, if that isn’t a person begging for a night of passion, I don’t know who is. Then he went off on a rant about the new Batman movie and how terrible the previews looked. Yay.

But realistically – I have a comic started that I wished I could have gotten done, but as it stands – that will have to wait for Thursday. Hopefully by then, I will have kicked whatever I have. Maybe, just maybe, I should actually stay home from work if I’m sick – rather than going in and having to deal with MORE sick people…

But how realistic is that?

    Get well soon bud.

More water and similar! Sore throat + fever + sweas = higher chance of dehydration and you don’t have Canadian health coverage. Get better.

Also, if the low-grade fever persists for more than a few days AND you get any of swollen lymph nodes, a red rash or jaundice – back to the doctor for possible mono. That’s a pain in the ass that doesn’t go away on its own.
