Opportunities on the “Job”

So, this is based on a partially true story. There was no identity theft, though… I will assure you of that. Regardless, it’s bizarre when you feel like you’re mildly talented in a certain area and you just can’t successfully “seal the deal” for someone. Granted, this particular individual went on and on about how much I wasn’t his type before we even fooled around… “I’m not into hairy guys.” “I don’t go for facial hair.” “I really only normally go for twinks…” So maybe there was a certain point where he had to open his eyes and say “HOLY FUCK! What kind of a little round furball did I let between my legs?!”

But hey, oh well. No harm, no foul to me.

Sometimes sex is less about the finishing and more about the time that you had in the process. God only knows, though – I’ve had my share of times where I didn’t necessarily “finish” and the other guy is insulted. As though either a. he failed me in some way (I can see that look that he wants to commit “seppuku” in his eyes), or b. I lied and I totally wasn’t into him at all. Regardless, fun is fun. There shouldn’t be any requirements or scorecards turned in when you’re done.

Next topic – I fucking missed Ptown. It sucks. I’m sad. I have to look at pictures of people having fun. Fun that I could have had. But oh well. There were a whirlwind shit-ton of people that I’ve obviously never met or even chatted with on the interwebs there, so I always kinda kick myself. All those potential readers! *rubs hands together maniacally*

With that in mind, I’m considering what the next bear run I could do is. As it stands, I plan to go to Midwest Bearfest – and I know that the cost for that one is CHEAP – which is awesome. I’ve already got my room all set up with my Birthday twin and I’m good to go! But then someone had to bring up HiBearNation.

Now, I’ll tell ya – I would LOVE to go to HiBearNation. After mentioning this online, I already had 3 people offer to let me split the cost of a room with them, which is awesome as well. The trouble still remains transportation and a run pass (not to mention the fact that I think I’m out of PTO at work… whoops!) But with that in mind, I got to thinking about ways that I could finance this little trip if possible…

The main idea I’m going on (that will take the shortest time) would be to do some high quality laser prints of existing comics, and offer them signed for about 20-25 a pop. These are just numbers I’m playing with in my head, obviously – as just because that’s what other comic artists run for the same thing doesn’t mean I could expect that. Never-the-less, I’m curious how many people would be interested in getting in on that sort of thing and would want to buy a signed print from little old me.

And for an extra 5 bucks, I’ll rub it against my naked body before I put it in the envelope…

I’m kidding of course… Because that would be whorish and stuff (I’d totally do it). So anyway – if you feel so inclined and feel that a certain comic that I’ve drawn speaks to you – let me know that you’d be interested!

If by some wild stretch, I manage to put together around $400 or so, that should cover the basics and some of you will see me in St. Louis! If not, well… it was an idea, eh?

Would you split the difference and do an autographed pic of your…
    well anyway, it’s a thought. ;-)

If you decide to to signed prints of comics past, I am in! I think it’s a terrific idea.

    are you going to convergance??

I think you should do a tiered reward system tied to different levels of donations. 10$, 20$ (signed print), 100$ (gets you drawn into a comic)

Megabus goes to St. Louis too… you’d have to bus into Chicago and then bus from Chicago to St. Louis.
